Answer:

Sorry but once your payment is processed you are automatically enrolled in the course and you cannot obtain a refund.

Answer:

You can use a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX) to pay for the course online. We also accept online payment using PayPal accounts.

Please note you must check your e-mail account for a confirmation e-mail to complete the account user registration process. If it is not in your In-box check you junk or spam filtered e-mail.

Read the confirmation e-mail carefully and follow the instructions.

How do I enrol in the course?

Answer:

Follow the steps below:

  1. Create a user account on the website;
  2. Check your e-mail for a confirmation of your new user account;
  3. Log into your new account;
  4. Click on the course and pay using a credit card or use an enrolment key (provided by your supervisor at work or your teacher).


We use secure payment services provided by PayPal.

Answer:

The cost for the WHMIS 2015 Online Training is $29.95 (+ applicable taxes).  This covers both WHMIS 1988 and WHMIS 2015.  There are no additional exam fees or administration fees.

What is an "enrolment key" and do I need one?

Answer:

If the cost of your course is being covered by your employer, or as part of a class or program, then you can enrol in the course using an "enrolment key" rather than paying yourself.  You would get the enrolment key from someone at your workplace or in the case of schools from your instructor. You will only need to activate the enrolment key the first time you log into the course. Once the key has been activated, your enrolment is valid for 60 days.  As soon as the key has been activated, it cannot be used again.

Enrolment keys can also be purchased through the FoodSafetyMarket online store.

The enrolment key is private - DO NOT share it with anyone.

2. COURSE INFORMATION

Answer:

Yes. While most students take a self paced independent approach to the online learning we have provided a Student Questions & Answers Discussion Forum where you can post questions and comments related to the content of the NFSTP online course. In this forum you can also reply to other student postings.

Please note that this is a moderated forum where inappropriate postings will be removed and students can be expelled for repeated infractions.

Yes, please do! Once you have completed the online lessons please complete the Course Evaluation.

You need to be comfortable using a computer to browse the Internet as well as send and receive e-mail.

Do you have any tips to help me with my online learning?

Answer:

Here are a few things to remember:

  • Don't be afraid to speak up. The Q&A forum is there for you to raise questions and provide your feedback and ideas related to WHMIS. The more you participate the more you will learn.
  • Get comfortable. Make sure your space is well lit and your chair is comfortable. Give your eyes a rest every 20 minutes; get up and stretch a bit.
  • Be polite. Remember others when communicating online. Find out more about online etiquette or netiquette!
  • Manage your time. You only have 60 days to complete all of the course lessons. It seems like a lot of time to complete the 2 or so hours of study but it can get away from you. Plan to complete one lesson each evening until you are done.
  • Generate your certificate. Make sure you remember to generate your Certificate of Achievement once you have received all of the required grades in both sections.
